Obama Is Right About Health Care
After listening to President Obama’s speech on health care last night, I have to admit, I agree wholeheartedly with his quote from Edward Kennedy:
“What we face is above all a moral issue; at stake are not just the details of policy, but fundamental principles of social justice and the character of our country.”
This is the choice encompassed by the health care issue:
Will the Christian moral code of altruism espoused by the White House and Congress intrude on yet another sphere of our lives?
Or, will we assert the American moral code of individualism, self-reliance, and rights?
